Piergiorgio Vidi

Piergiorgio Vidi was born in 1969 and in 1975 started to follow his father, an alpine guide, along mountain paths.

 

Gathering the passion for mountain through his family, in the early '80ies he started climbing. When he was 17 years old, thanks to a hard training, he passed the alpine guide exam becoming a professional alpine guide in 1988.

 

In 1991 Piergiorgio Vidi won the Italian ski Championship and later he took part in international expeditions (among the others the new route Infinte South in Cerro Torre, 1995). Since 1997 he is an alpine guide instructor.

 

Since 2000 Piergiorgio is a national alpine rescue instructor and since 2007 he lead the National School for mountain rescue technicians.

 

Since 2009 he’s mountain bike instructor.
