Design award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2011

Dolomite Cougar shoe has been nominated for the Design Award of Federal Republic of Germany 2011.

The Design Award is the highest official recognition for design excellence in Germany. It is awarded by the Federal Minister for Economics and Technology and is organised by the German Design Council. Its unique feature is that participation in this competition is possible only for design items that have already won an award elsewhere.

For the Design Award the two creative disciplines of communication design and product design are judged at the same time – and in a single process. The independent  jury, which is formally convened by the German Federal Minister of Economics, is composed of established experts in both disciplines.
